About Us

Highlands Training Solutions is a subsidiary of Highlands First Aid which is owned and run by Kiaran & Ethné Drew. Highlands First Aid has been operating in the Southern Highlands for 10 years providing first aid courses and event first aid coverage. The success of Highlands First Aid led to a natural progression to setting up an RTO, Highlands Training Solutions, that would complement the teaching side of the business. Utilising the experience gained from years of hands on work in Emergency Services, we teach First Aid from a Paramedics perspective.

CPR Course

HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

This course applies to all persons who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

First Aid Course

HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid

This course describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

First Aid Course in Education and Care

HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants and children in line with first aid guidelines determined by Australian national peak clinical bodies.

Remote First Aid Course

HLTAID013 - Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response and emergency life support to a casualty in a remote and/or isolated situation.The unit applies to workers who may be required to prepare for and provide a first aid response in locations beyond the reach of timely medical assistance.

Mental Health Course

CHCCCS019 - Recognise and Respond to Crisis Situations

This course describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise situations where people may be in imminent crisis, and then to work collaboratively to minimise any safety concerns and make plans to access required support services.
