Our Administration Team

Ethné Drew is the Chief Executive Officer of Highlands Training Solutions. She has extensive experience in business operations, management, and client engagement. Ethné communicates daily with clients seeking training solutions and works closely with organisations to support their training needs. Her experience and commitment to quality training led to the establishment of Highlands Training Solutions as a Registered Training Organisation.

Jasper Darby is the Training Manager and RTO Administrator. He is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the organisation, including coordinating training activities, liaising with clients, and supporting learners throughout their training journey. In addition, he assists with financial administration and compliance activities. His meticulous attention to detail is an asset to the successful operation of the RTO.

Our Training Team

Kiaran Drew is our Head Trainer. His background includes over 20 years of experience in rescue services and as a Paramedic with the Ambulance Service of NSW. He leads our training team and oversees the delivery of high-quality training programs. Kiaran also manages a team of Paramedics and First Responders providing event first aid coverage across a range of community and workplace settings.

Our team of trainers are current practising paramedics, emergency nurses, and other suitably qualified industry professionals who regularly apply these skills in real-world environments. Trainers and assessors are required to meet specific competency requirements to deliver training and assessment services. We support the ongoing professional development of all staff and ensure they maintain current industry skills, knowledge, and vocational competence relevant to the training, assessment, and roles they perform.

Our Goal

Our goal is to teach you in a fun way, so you leave the course empowered to provide first aid to family, work colleagues, or anybody that requires medical assistance.

Our Values

Quality committed

Because our instructors are AHPRA registered clinicians, they are required to complete Continued Professional Development every year. This ensures that all our instructors are clinically up to date with the latest medical intervention techniques.

Learner centred

Our goal is to train our students in a fun relaxed environment. As registered medical practitioners, we understand how the different body systems work. This enables us to be able to explain first aid in a simple to understand way.

Industry engagement

All our trainers still engage in providing paramedical, and medical support for events as diverse as concerts, rodeos, motor cross, speedway, multiple horse, and sporting events. You can be assured your trainer is still currently practising what they teach.

Fun

At Highlands Training Solutions, we believe that learning should be fun and not laborious. We understand that there is a serious side to first aid, but if you learn in a fun way, you will have a better grasp of what you are learning.

Safe

A safe learning setting, ensuring safe outcomes, so you can provide a safe work or home environment.

Positivity

Our goal is to teach you in a positive way, empowering you to feel confident that if required, you can apply your learnt fist aid skills with confidence.

Why Learn With Us

First aid doesn’t have to be complicated.  We have a passion for teaching in a way that makes first aid easy to understand.

Utilising the experience gained from years of hands-on work in Emergency Services, we don’t just “read the Book, then teach the course”, we teach First Aid from a Paramedics perspective, who has just arrived at a 000 emergency, or a nurse in the emergency department.
